The interfaces I develop are confidential, but to give you an idea on what the interfaces used in high-frequency trading look like:
A high-frequency trading firm based in Chicago. Worked on opening up the Turkey branch and interviewing 10+ people for junior and senior software engineer positions. Built a modern GUI from scratch in Python to be used by our traders. It’s much more capable than what we had before both in terms of the amount of information it’s able to display at once and the amount of data it’s able to handle per second.
Made improvements on the strategy side(written in C) to store, manipulate, log and transfer the data the new GUI needs. Fixed old bugs, made various performance improvements. Started working on building tools to analyze the market data to understand and predict when sudden market shifts happen.
